Membership of the Association of Accessible Formats confirmed
To show Clear Voice Media's commitment to offering a quality service we decided to join the UK Association for Accessible Formats (UKAAF).
The aim of UKAAF is to help develop and promote standards of accessability across all alternative formats.
Clear Voice Media is pleased to be part of the association and hopes to play an active role in future developments in accessability.

Improved text to speech service...
In November, Clear Voice Media acquired new software and hardware to make the TTS service better…
We are now able to produce audio from typed hard copy or PDF files, expanding the range of services now available.
With the granting of a PD license (see article below), it is now possible for Clear Voice Media to produce audio books using synthesised speech (terms and conditions apply).

CLA license for the print disabled granted
In November of this year, Clear Voice Media applied for a CLA license for the print disabled, which was duely granted.
The application for a PD license is in preparation for a project due to start early 2012. Details of the project will be released in due course.
New voice for the Woolwich Free Ferry - July 2011
In March of 2011 Clear Voice Media was approached by Serco Ltd to quote for the production of new announcements for the Woolwich Free Ferry.
A quote was submitted and duly accepted by Serco.
Ruth James, a professional actor was engaged and studio time was booked at RMS Studios.
The ferries were being refitted with TOA VM-2120 amplifier management systems. These use a CF media card to store a bespoke programme holding the messages and data regarding levels, priority and sequence.
Between June and November of 2011 the new announcements will be coming on line as the ferries are put through their quarterly maintenance programme.
Alongside the text to speech service we are able to offer the following:

- CD production
- Mini Disc/Cassette to CD or MP3
